Programs & activities
Five core initiatives, delivered year-round in Prague and across the Czech Republic.
Every programme is free or deliberately low-cost, open to all backgrounds, and designed so that participants can move naturally between them as their needs and interests change.
Programme 01
Cultural Exchange & Musical Heritage Workshops
Connecting traditions through vocal arts, storytelling, concerts and cross-cultural dialogue in Prague and beyond.
This is the programme the association grew from. Across the year we run weekly vocal and heritage workshops, seasonal public concerts, intimate storytelling evenings and cross-cultural dialogue sessions in which participants teach one another the songs, tales and rituals they grew up with. Chinese, Czech, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Roma and many other traditions sit side by side on the same programme sheet — never as exhibits, always as living practice.
Sessions are led by professional musicians and culture-bearers together with community volunteers. No audition, no prior training and no language fluency is required; we work by ear, by imitation and by patience. Participants range from schoolchildren to residents of senior homes, and a large part of the value is precisely that they are in the room together.
Outputs include public concerts in Prague venues and partner community centres, recorded archive material of songs at risk of being lost, and an annual intergenerational performance that brings families of participants into contact for the first time.
Programme 02
Mindful Living & Health Awareness Initiatives
Promoting mental wellness, stress relief and holistic health practices for seniors, youth and stress-affected individuals.
A structured series of low-barrier sessions combining breath and movement practice, guided relaxation, sleep and stress education, and plain-language health literacy. We deliberately avoid clinical framing: no diagnosis, no jargon, no expectation that anyone discloses anything. What we offer is a calm hour, a practical technique that works at home, and a facilitator who notices when someone is struggling.
Programme cycles run in six to eight week blocks so participants build a habit rather than sample an experience. Alongside the group sessions we host open health-awareness talks with invited practitioners on topics chosen by participants — burnout, caring for a relative with dementia, anxiety in adolescence, chronic pain, healthy ageing.
Where a participant needs professional care beyond our scope, our facilitators are trained to accompany them toward it: helping locate a provider, explaining the Czech health system, and following up afterwards. We never leave a referral hanging in the air.
Programme 03
Community Support & Social Integration Programs
Assisting marginalised groups, immigrants and local residents to build inclusive local networks.
Integration fails in the small print: an unreadable form, a missed appointment, a landlord conversation nobody prepared you for. This programme provides practical accompaniment through exactly those moments. Volunteers and staff help with orientation in public services, interpretation support, document navigation, school enrolment, and connecting people to the right specialist organisation when a case exceeds our expertise.
Around the practical help we build social infrastructure: neighbourhood meet-ups, shared-meal evenings, conversation clubs where Czech is practised without embarrassment, and buddy pairings between long-term residents and recent arrivals. The aim is that after a year a participant no longer needs us — they have their own network.
We work closely with municipal social services, schools and other Prague non-profits, and we refer outward as readily as we take referrals in. Our role is to be the warm, human first contact that makes the rest of the system reachable.
Programme 04
Youth & Education Outreach
Interactive artistic, educational and creative development sessions in schools and community centres.
We bring facilitators into classrooms, libraries and youth clubs with sessions that mix creative practice — music, rhythm, storytelling, visual expression — with age-appropriate conversation about identity, belonging, emotional literacy and respect for difference. Teachers tell us the sessions frequently surface things that a normal school week has no room for.
For older students we run a small mentoring track: young people who want to develop as musicians, facilitators or organisers work alongside our team on real events, gaining genuine responsibility and a reference for their future studies or first job.
All youth activity is delivered under our child safeguarding rules: trained facilitators, two-adult presence, documented parental consent and clear reporting procedures.
Programme 05
Environmental & Conscious Living Seminars
Educating communities on sustainable living, harmony with nature and ecological responsibility.
Ecological responsibility, in our experience, is adopted at the scale of the household and the street rather than the summit. Our seminars are practical and unpreachy: reducing food waste, repairing instead of replacing, energy use at home, seasonal and local eating, and the quiet mental-health benefit of regular time outdoors.
We pair each seminar series with a community action — a repair afternoon, a shared garden session, a neighbourhood clean-up — so that learning immediately becomes something done together. These actions are also, reliably, some of the best integration moments we host.
The programme draws explicitly on the philosophy at the heart of the association: harmony between people, and between people and the natural world, is one continuous practice rather than two separate agendas.

Programmes exist because people decide to pay for them.
Grants, municipal support and individual donations keep these five initiatives free at the point of participation.
